Welcome to Episode 103 of the Emotional Eats Podcast!
Let’s talk about something that might make you squirm 🪱 — but trust me, it might also explain why you’ve been feeling off, exhausted or have chronic gut issues.
In this week’s episode of the Emotional Eats Podcast, I sat down with Kim Rogers, AKA the "Worm Queen" and I’ll be honest… I never thought I’d get this excited about parasites. But after everything I’ve been through personally — and what I’ve seen with my clients — this conversation is one every woman needs to hear, especially if you're over 40 and dealing with unexplained symptoms.
Kim shares her story of going from a successful healthcare executive to a chronically ill woman who had to dig through the dark corners of the internet just to find out what was really wrong with her. Her journey through Lyme disease, mold exposure, chronic fatigue, and endometriosis led her to one unexpected root cause: parasites. Now she is helping us understand them, stop fearing them and get rid of them.
Not the sexy topic we usually hear about in the wellness world, but here’s the kicker — most of us have them, and most doctors aren’t testing for them properly. In fact, the CDC estimates that over 60 million Americans have parasites, and that number may be wildly underreported due to faulty testing and lack of awareness. I know more than three people in my own circle, who after the correct testing, found out they have at least one parasite.
So if you’ve been dealing with:
Chronic constipation or bloating
Skin issues that won’t go away
Anxiety or mood swings around the full moon (yes, that’s a thing)
Brain fog or fatigue
Feeling like something’s off but your labs are “normal”...
...you want to listen in.
Kim breaks down how parasites can enter your body through contaminated water, pets, barefoot grounding, organic produce, and yes — even your beloved salmon and sushi. She explains how they hijack your serotonin, hide in your tissues, and can cause everything from digestive issues to inflammation to mood swings — often without ever being detected.
And while most people assume parasites only affect your gut, Kim reveals that they can be found in your blood, muscles, lymph system, and even your brain. And if you’ve ever done a cleanse and had wild symptoms around the full moon, that’s not your imagination — they’re literally more active when your serotonin spikes. We talk about the full moon affect in the episode.
What I love about Kim’s approach is that it’s not based in fear. It’s about knowledge and empowerment. She created the Parify Kit to help people cleanse safely, effectively, and without trauma to the body.
The kit includes:
Parify: A blend of herbs like wormwood, black walnut, clove, and hawthorn to gently kill off parasites
Sustain: To calm inflammation and sweep out viruses, bacteria, and toxins left behind
Metal Flush: To break through the protective biofilm that parasites hide in
Cinnabin (the binder): To “catch” everything that’s released and escort it out of your body
And let me just say from experience because I have used it: it’s easy to use, it actually tastes good, and even if you don’t see anything come out (I didn’t), you’ll likely feel a major shift in your body, digestion, and energy.
As women in midlife, we’re told to expect fatigue, weight gain, constipation, poor sleep, thinning skin, and mood swings as “normal aging.” But what if that’s not the whole story? What if what’s going on inside your gut is silently draining your energy and messing with your hormones?
For me and many of my clients, learning about parasites and doing a proper cleanse has been a missing piece of the puzzle. And hearing Kim’s story — from rock bottom to wellness advocate — gives you hope that there’s a better way.
If you’ve ever felt dismissed by your doctor, or frustrated because your labs say “normal” but your body says otherwise, this episode is for you.
